Ferguson, it contains the monumental inscriptions of St. Cuthbert's church in the centre of the historic city of Carlisle. A facsimile reproduction on CD of the Westmoreland (now part of Cumbria) section of the Gentleman's Magazine Library series, English Topography, first published by Elliot Stock in 1901. Although one of the shorter volumes in the series, this publication still contains a great deal of fascinating historical information, including entries on Bolton, Great Musgrave, Kendal, Kirkby Stephen, Ravenstonedale, Shap, Sizergh, Wharton, Willington & Windermere.
