It contains: transcriptions of the census of the parish of Shelley in Suffolk (near Hadleigh) taken in the years 1851, 1871 and 1901 (with name indexes); transcriptions of the entries for Shelley from 2 nineteenth-century trade directories (White's, 1844 and Kelly's 1892) and a facsimile reprint of monumental inscriptions from the parish of Shelley taken from The Register of English Monumental Inscriptions (published in 1912).
